Solar & Battery Bulk Buy Program

In case you haven’t heard, the Illawarra Shoalhaven Joint Organisation (ISJO) is running a community bulk buy program in partnership with ShineHub - offering residents the opportunity to purchase solar and batteries at more affordable prices.

Solar and home batteries can significantly reduce your electricity bills utilise the free energy from the sun and storing it for later. They also provide backup power during outages, provide reliability and make your home more energy independent.

VPP stands for virtual power plant and is a process where the spare energy stored in your battery can be combined with others to help stabilise the electricity grid. A VPP allows you to provide some of your battery energy to the VPP provider and in return pay you for that energy.
